Craving sugar is completely normal. Your body needs sugar in order to function. But, there are healthier sources of sugar that can benefit your body opposed to processed sugars.
So, here are 5 healthy snacks to help sugar cravings.
Apples With Cinnamon
Fruit can curb sugar cravings since they are sweet. If you have apple slices with cinnamon, it can help satisfy your sugar cravings due to its sweetness. Also, apples are extremely healthy for you!
Greek Yogurt & Berries
Not only is this an energy booster, but it can curb your sweet tooth. Greek yogurt has a thick and creamy texture with a tart taste. If you don’t like the taste of it on its own, then you can add berries for a healthy snack. Blueberries contain less sugar than other berries. So if you are being mindful of how much sugar you have, blueberries are the ideal option.
Protein Balls
These recipes can vary depending on the ingredients you want. But, including granola, almond butter, and dark chocolate chips can make the perfect protein packed snack. You can make a big batch of them to have them throughout the week and keep them in your fridge to stay nice and cool. You can also remove the dark chocolate chips and put nuts or chia seeds as a healthier alternative.
Pomegranate
Pomegranate’s are rich in fibre and contain natural sugar. They can curb your sugar cravings while also helping you to feel fuller for longer. You can also buy pomegranate juice if you need to curb sugar cravings when you are on the go.
Banana Ice Cream
Simply blend some bananas together in a blender with milk or water and some ice. Put it in the freezer for 30 minutes, and you have homemade banana ice cream. It can curb your cravings by tasting and feeling like ice cream.
